Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy Summary

This policy describes Match Up, including its iPhone and companion Apple Watch app. It distinguishes information stored on your devices from information processed by advertising and analytics providers.

Local App Data and Device Synchronization

Match Up does not require a user account. Player and club information, match history, custom drills, and voice preferences are stored in the app’s local storage. The app synchronizes information needed for scoring, players, drills, and workouts between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. These local records are not uploaded to a Match Up account service.

Version 1.09 migrates existing app files and preferences into a local database. This migration does not create an online account or a cloud database. You can delete individual matches, matches involving a selected player, or all match history in the app’s record management screen.

HealthKit Integration

With your permission, Match Up uses HealthKit for workout sessions, heart rate, calories burned, and exercise records. Match Up does not include HealthKit readings in Google advertising or Analytics events. Health permissions and records can be managed in Apple’s Health and Settings apps. Apple controls any Health or device-backup synchronization you enable in its services; deleting Match Up match history does not delete those records.

What information does the Software obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

If you contact us for support, we receive the email address, message, and any other information you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request. Entering a player name in the app does not, by itself, send that name to our support service.

Automatically Collected Information

The app includes third-party advertising and analytics SDKs. They may process app or device identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device and operating-system information, advertising views and interactions, app usage events, crash information, performance measurements, and other diagnostic data. Some of this data may be associated with a device or app installation even though Match Up does not require a name or account.

Our app-defined Analytics events in version 1.09 describe screens, feature choices, action results, counts, and predefined drill codes. They omit player and club names, custom drill text, and HealthKit readings. This does not prevent the SDKs from processing their own identifiers and usage information.

Third-party services used in the app include:

See Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob’s iOS data disclosure for the providers’ data practices.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Software?

Google’s SDKs can receive event-level information and app or device identifiers, rather than only anonymous aggregate reports. Google processes that information under its service settings and policies. We may also disclose support information when required by law or when necessary to respond to a security incident or protect legal rights. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or advertising measurement.

Automatic Data Collection and Advertising

AdMob provides banner ads and optional rewarded ads. Advertising data is used for ad delivery, measurement, performance, and fraud prevention. Analytics helps us understand which screens and features are used and whether actions succeed. Privacy messaging may use approximate location, interaction, and performance information to support its functions.

Banner and rewarded are display formats; they do not, by themselves, mean that ad requests are anonymous or restricted to non-personalized advertising. Apple’s tracking permission requirements and applicable Google privacy settings govern any access to advertising identifiers and tracking. The current app does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization. Association with an app or device identifier is distinct from tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can decline an optional rewarded ad, delete match history in the app, and manage Health and tracking permissions in Apple’s settings. The current app does not provide an in-app Analytics collection switch. Uninstalling the app stops future requests from that installation; it does not automatically delete Health records, device backups, or data already held by Google. Review Google’s privacy controls for information about its services.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

Local app data remains on your devices until you delete it or remove the app, subject to Apple’s backup and restore settings. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and meet applicable obligations. Advertising and Analytics data retention depends on the Google service’s configuration and policies. Contact jerome.enter@gmail.com to request deletion of support information we control. We cannot remotely delete local device records or promise deletion of information independently held by another provider.

Children

We do not use the Software to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at jerome.enter@gmail.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Security

Local app data uses Apple’s app storage protections. Access to HealthKit requires your permission. Third-party services apply their own security controls. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy when app features or service practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. This notice does not replace any consent or permission required by Apple’s platform or applicable law. Google may process information in countries where it and its service providers operate; see its Privacy Policy for details.
